Biography

Born in Cd Delicias Chihuaha, Mexico in 1965, Roberto López-Gulliver received his BSc degree in Mathematics in 1987 from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, with honours for his thesis work entitled: "Bounded Variation Functions: Differentiation and Integration". In 1993 he received his MS degree in Computer Science from Ritsumeikan University. In 1994 Lopez joined ATR Media Integration & Communications Research Labs in Kyoto, Japan as visiting research engineer and has been actively involved in applications of computer graphics, computer vision, image-based rendering and modelling techniques to telecommunications.
