Biography

The novelist Mark Joseph, 53 years old, was awarded a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California in Berkeley in 1967.

After graduating he continued his studies, joining the radical students movement and moving to England and then France, studying at the University of Sussex and the Sorbonne. Having completed a course in French culture, he left Paris and lived in Mexico for two years.
He worked as a taxi driver in San Francisco for 12 years to support himself while he worked on his writing and personal development .

A few years later he became the director of several little-known magazines and wrote an essay on the costumes worn by San Francisco gays at Halloween. At the age of forty he published his first novel: To Kill the Potemkin.

Several of his books have been published in Italy, Germany and Great Britain, including Mexico 21, which was not published in either the United States or Mexico, and Typhoon, which deals with the Cold War and nuclear submarines. back to the top
