Biography

Born in Verona on 6 July 1940, Paolo Donati graduated in literature from the University of Rome and was awarded a diploma from the Conservatorio in Pesaro.
In 1968 he began working as a radio producer in the Italian public service broadcaster RAI.
He worked on magazine and variety programmes until 1976 when he began producing classical music programmes for Radiotre. From 1996 until the end of 1999 he worked on RAI's radio archives in the Technical Direction of RAI.
He was in charge of the translation from French of "Brahms" by Claude Rostand and "Guida alla musica per pianoforte" by Francois René Tranchefort for the Rusconi publishing house.
