Biography
Roberto Dadda, a PhD in chemical engineering, is responsible for
technological innovation at the Banco Ambrosiano Veneto. The laboratory which he directs
is responsible for all Internet operations, electronic commerce, and all new technologies
which apply to the world of banking. One of his research projects is concerned with
developing a Java-based system for both servers and clients. Roberto Dadda () also holds
courses on 'operating systems and software development' at the IT School in Milan. Dadda
boasts around twenty years of experience as a journalist and publishes regular
contributions on software development, electronic commerce, push technologies, data banks,
and the professional use of the PC. He is one of the founders of PC Magazine. He is a
member of the consultative committee of Intel, the Banca d'Italia group for electronic
commerce security, and the technological consultative committee of SMAU.
He is also a member of the jury which assigns SMAU recognition for
industrial design. He is the author of numerous books, including Microsoft ACCESS, come
