Biography
Giovanni Pomella has been Director General of Stream, the company which STET set up to
study and establish broadband transmissions, since 1995. Born in Benevento in 1943,
Pomella graduated in Electronic Engineering at the University of Naples in 1967. From 1968
to 1969 he worked in production and technical services at the Caserta factory of 3M
(Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company). |

| From 1970 to 1981 he worked with Univac, the computer mainframes production company,
where he was in charge of sales and marketing, initially in Naples and later in Rome. From
1981 he held various positions in SIP (later Telecom Italia), including head of the Grande
Pubblico line; head of Mobile Radio Services from 1989 to 91 and head of marketing in the
Business Division in 1992. From 1993 to 1995 he was the Regional Director of
Campania/Basilicata. |
