Antonio Molinari

Biography
Antonio Molinari was born in Milan in 1938. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in
Brera and began his professional career in 1961. His Industrial Design projects for
Italian and foreign companies cover a wide range of markets. He has held many positions in
ADI (Industrial Design Association), including President from 1988 to 1991. He has been a
member of the EEC Design Commission and is currently President of the Lombardy section of
the Ergonomics Society. He acts as a consultant for several institutions, including
Assolombarda, Confindustria, the Frankfurt Fair, Cosmit and Eimu. |

Molinari has been curator of numerous design exhibitions in Italy and abroad (Atlanta,
Damascus, Frankfurt, Lausanne, Paris, London); rapporteur at many conferences and
seminars, and lectures at the Polytechnic of Milan on the industrial design course, as
well as teaching at other universities and design schools in Italy and abroad. He has been
a member of the jury of several national and international prizes (Compasso d'oro, Eimu,
Orgatec Colonia, Neocon Chicago, Amag Vienna, Symbol of Excellence, Taipei). and was
President of the jury of the Smau Industrial Design Prize of 1991. |
