Biography
Born in San Francisco in 1953 Richard E. (Rick) Belluzzo holds a bachelor's degree in
accounting from Golden Gate University in San Francisco Belluzzo is an executive
Vice-President of Hewlett-Packard Company and heads its Computer Organisation. The
organisation comprises computer products (printers, plotters, scanners and personal
computers), computer systems (workstations, larger computer systems and consulting) and
HP's worldwide customer support operations.
Belluzzo joined HP in 1975 and worked in the accounting department at the Santa Rosa
(Calif.) site. In 1978, he was promoted to accounting manager for the Disk Memory Division
(DMD) in Boise and then controller for the division in 1980. In 1983, he assumed
additional responsibility as controller for the former Information Products Group, and in
1984, he was named marketing manager for DMD. In 1986, he was named marketing manager for
the former Peripherals Group. He was named operations manager for the former Boise Printer
Operation when it was formed in 1987 and became general manager of that operation when it
became a division in 1988.
Belluzzo was promoted to general manager of the Inkjet Products Group in 1991 and was
elected a vice president in 1992. In 1993, Belluzzo became general manager of the former
Hardcopy Products Group and later that year was promoted to general manager of the
Computer Products Organisation. |
