Biografia
Professore di giurisprudenza all'Institute for Information Law dell'Università di
Amsterdam in Olanda, Hugenholz svolge anche la libera professione di avvocato ed è socio
della Stibbe Simont Monahan Duhot.
Laureato cum laude nel 1989 all'Università di Amsterdam, Hogenholtz ha scritto una
serie di libri e numerosi articoli sull'argomento dei diritti d'autore e del copyright, in
particolare sulla protezione di banche dati, programmi per computer e prodotti
multimediali, sui problemi di copyright su Internet, sulla pubblicazione di contratti,
eccetera. È anche uno specialista di legislazione delle telecomunicazioni e della
diffusione televisiva e radiofonica.
Hogenholz è presidente della Intellectual Property Task Force of the Legal Advisory
Board della Commissione Europea. È inoltre caporedattore di Information Law Series
pubblicate da Kluwer Law International. |
