BiographyStefania Garassini founded and is director of "Virtual", the monthly magazine of the digital era and the first Italian magazine on virtual reality, new communication technologies and the digital media. She graduated in philosophy and wrote her thesis on "Concetto di simulazione nell'immagine di sintesi e nei mondi virtuali" (The concept of simulation in synthesised images and the virtual world). |

| She contributed to the Bompiani publication "Le nuove tecnologie della comunicazione" (The new communication technologies), edited by Gianfranco Bettetini and Fausto Colombo. A journalist by profession, she has contributed to the arts and entertainment pages of the Italian daily "Il Giornale" for four years and is a member of the faculty of The Theory and Technique of Social Communication at the Catholic University of Milan. |  |
