Biography

Born in Milan on 13 May 1949, De Brabant graduated in political economy from Bocconi University in Milan. In 1973 he began his research activities, working on a study into the use of commercial plant in the EEC countries, published in 1974. He then participated in an inquiry into the use of equipment for "industrial salvage" in the EEC countries, published in 1976. François de Brabant has been a member of the Commission for the Electronic Programme of the Ministry of Industry (Legge 675) and a member of the "Telecommunications" working group of the Prime Minister's Office (1981-1982).

He is a partner, founder and managing director Reseau. He has been responsible for strategy, planning and control at Telecom Italia since September 1995.
