Biography

Furio Colombo is a journalist and writer living in New York, where he teaches Italian Studies at Colombia University. He has travelled widely in Asia and Latin America, as well as in the United States. He has written for many publications, from "Il Mondo" and "La Stampa" to "Commentary" and "The New York Review of Books" and contributed reports and documentaries to RAI. From 1970-1977 he was Professor of the Language of Radio and Television. He was Director of the Institute of Italian Culture in New York from 1991 to 1994. Editorialist of "La Repubblica", he also writes for "L'Espresso" and is editor of the "Rivista dei Libri", the Italian edition of the "New York Review of Books" and co-editor of "Nuovi Argomenti".
