Biography

Francesco Cocco is currently head of the cabinet of the President of the Italian Authority for Information in the Public Administration. State advocate, Cocco was legal advisor to the President of the Italian Authority for information in the Public Administration from 1993 to 1995 and legal advisor to the Legislative Office of the Ministry of Post and from 1992 to 1994.

He has also been a legal advisor to the President of the Lazio Region (1991-1993), to the President of the National Statistics Institute (1990-1997), and the President's Office of the Puglia Region, where he was also responsible for the Legal Department (1978-1980). President of the IV Commission for the Reform of the Highway Code (1988-1991), he has also been a member of the Council for Public Works (1989-1993), the Departmental Technical-Administrative Committee of the A.N.A.S. for Lazio (1989-1991), the Interministerial Committee for Public Transport Management (1988-1993), the Regional Commission of representatives of the Financial Administration and National Association of Italian Comunes (1978), and an elected member of the Council of State Advocates and Attorneys (1987-1990). He contributed for many years to Rassegna dell'Avvocatura dello Stato, for which he was a correspondent, and has also worked on the drafting of several legal publications. He has also contributed to many academic studies and has taught at the Istituto di Macchine in the Faculty of Engineering of University of Bari (1987), Macerata and Chieti Universities and the Economics and Finance Institute of the University of Bari (academic year 1968-1969 to 1971-1972).
