Biography
Born in Turin in 1952, Marco Ricolfi teaches industrial law at the Faculty of Law of
the University of Lecce. Graduating in 1974 in commercial law, he obtained his Masters in
1976 at the University of Yale. In 1974 he was made a research assistant, in 1981
researcher, and in 1992 associate professor of commercial law at the University of Lecce.
He has also taught at the School of Biotechnology of the School of Mathematics, Physics
and Natural Sciences from 1992 to 1993. In May 1990 he was asked by the European
Parliament to write a report on the legal protection of biotechnology.
In 1993 he became a partner in the Studio Avvocato Tossetto. |

Ricolfi has written monographs on public enterprise ("L'impresa pubblica in un
economia "forte": la Germania", Turin, 1987), on merchandising agreements
("Il contratto di merchandising nel diritto dei segni distintivi", Giuffrè,
Milan, 1991) and on coinsurance (1997), and has published articles in Italian, German and
British reviews on commercial law, insurance and industrial rights. He is the Italian
correspondent of the "International Insurance Law Review". |
