Biography

James Richardson is vice president of Cisco Systems for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Born in 1957 he has worked for Cisco since 1990, contributing to worldwide company growth in a variety of sales management positions.

As vice president of U.S. Operations for two years, Richardson led Cisco's largest sales organisation and tripled revenues. After starting the company's Canadian operations, and as Cisco Canada's first country manager, in 1992 Richardson was promoted to vice president of Intercontinental operations, helping to lead sales in the region to a five-fold growth over two years.

Before joining Cisco, Richardson was with Unisys Canada, where he held several management positions including director of marketing, district manager of Western Operations and director of alternate channels marketing.

He received his bachelor of commerce degree in marketing and finance from Queens University in Kingston.
