Biography
A native of Winnipeg, Robert Montgomery is a graduate of the University of Manitoba and
completed further coursework at the University of Toronto and Université Laval. He has
lived and worked in Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Mr.
Montgomery was Managing Director of Kagan World Media Ltd, managing all aspects of
KWMs operations and held responsibilities in the Americas, Europe and Asia. KWM is
the international arm of Paul Kagan Associates Inc. and is a leading research, analysis
and consulting firm specializing in the media, communications and entertainment sectors
with specific emphasis on financial analysis and market forecasting.
Mr. Montgomery has completed a significant number of consultancy assignments on behalf of
the worlds leading media, entertainment and communications companies and banks
involving strategic advisory, fairness opinions, market, financial and public policy
analysis and valuations. Prior to joining KWM, Mr. Montgomery worked as a consultant in
the digital media marketplace, launching a diversified media company, consulting on
business planning and marketing as well as advising on media sector
transactions.Previously, he ran two international financial publishing businesses as
Publisher for IBC Financial Publishing and Group Publisher for Euromoney Publications,
sitting on the management committee of both entities.He has also been employed by a
Canadian communications company, completing corporate communications and investor
relations assignments on behalf of North Americas leading media, finance and
consumer goods companies. |

Mr. Montgomery is a recognized authority on developments in the media
and convergence marketplace and is a frequently-quoted source in the broadcast and news
media, including the BBC, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Der Speigel and
Business Week. He has been featured as a speaker or moderator at numerous industry
seminars and conferences around the world, including Kagan's annual European TV Sports
