Biography
Arthur and Marilouise Kroker are well known as writers and speakers on the relationship
between the body and technology. Their research work has been presented in various
television programmes and published interviews (ID, L'Actualitè, Mondo 2000, The
Observer, Mediamatic, La Repubblica).
They have given conferences/performances throughout the world, including the ICA, the
Whitney Museum (New York), the Kunstmuseum (Berne), the Pacific Film Archive of the
University of California at Berkeley, the Centre for the Arts in Banff, the Multi-Media
Centre of Cologne University and the European Summer Academy of Film and Media in Berlin. |

Their works have been translated into Italian, as well as Japanese, German, French,
Dutch and Portuguese. Their electric journal, CTHEORY, is published by the Concordia
University of Montreal, where Arthur is Professor of Political Science. Marilouse is
General Editor of the influential Culture Texts series published by St. Martin's Press of
New York. Described by the BBC as "The Marshall McLuhan of the '90s", Arthur
Kroker is author of numerous books, including "Data Trash: The Theory of the Virtual
Class", "Spasm: Virtual Reality, Android Music and Electric Flesh",
"The Possessed Individual" and "The Postmodern Scene". Marilouise and
Arthur Kroker co-edited a trilogy of books on contemporary technology and sexuality:
"Body Invaders", "The Hysterical Male" e "The Last Sex".
