Biography
John Harris is Professor of Applied Philosophy at the Centre for Social
Ethics and Policy at the University of Manchester, where he is concerned with the moral
issues surrounding health and medical research. |

| He has written several books on the rights of patients and children and on problems
related to embryo research, including Violence and Responsibility, The Value of Life,
Experimental Embrions (with Anthony Dyson) and Wonderwoman & Superman (Oxford
University Press, 1992). |
