BiographyBorn in Milan 13th May 1949, de Brabant graduated in Political Economy from the Bocconi University in Milan. He began his research activities in 1973, working on study of the use of commercial plant in the EEC, published in 1974. |

| He subsequently participated in research on means of industrial salvage in the European Community, published in 1976. François de Brabant was a member of the Commission for the "Electronics Programme" of the Italian Industry Ministry (Law 675) and member of the working party on Telecommunications of the Prime Minister's Office (1981-1982). He was founding partner and Managing Director of Reseau. Since September 1995 he has been responsible for Strategy, Planning and Control of Telecom Italia. |  |
