Biography
Febo Cammarano, who was born in Alexandria in Egypt 9 October 1943, began his career in
1963 in IRI (Istituto per la Ricostruzione Industriale), initially working on
international technical co-operation. He subsequently participated in setting up an
international consultancy and engineering company. After a long period acquiring
experience in many sectors in the inspectorate of IRI, he was made responsible for radio
and television, telecommunications, data transmission, IT and electronics in the Planning
and Control Department. While there, he was involved in defining the group&'s strategy
and the rationalisation and development policy of the aforementioned sectors, contributing
to setting up its most important initiatives in the telecommunications and IT markets. He
was particularly involved in creating several operations in the fields of tourism,
cultural heritage, television and data transmission services. For many years he
co-ordinated IRI&'s presence in M.I.T.&'s Media Lab, greatly influencing the
development of multimedia in Italy.
He has been mayor, councillor and board member of many companies. |
