Biography
Professor of Electronic Art at School of Fine Arts of the College of
Design, Architecture, Art and Planning at Cincinnati University, Benjamin Britton is an
artist who works with electronic instruments and recently with virtual reality.He grew up
in Plymouth, Massachusetts and obtained an M.A. from Vermont College in 1983 and a Master
of Fine Arts. from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1990.
He has exhibited his electronic art works in the United States and
internationally and has received numerous awards for his gallery installations. He has
participated in many international conferences on virtual reality, graphic art and
exhibition methods and contributed to numerous television programmes for broadcasters
around the world, including CNN International, BBC (England), ZDF (Germany), Canal+
(France), NHK (Japan),RAI (Quark), TSI (Swiss TV), Korean television (various),
Netherlands Public TV etc. |

Britton has published many articles in specialised reviews,
particularly on his work on the Lascaux Caves virtual reality project. Dedicated to
leading a creative, talented, motivated team in making state-of the-art media projects as
problem-driven research, as artistic production and as technical development, his aim is
to make intelligent, enjoyable, significant and self-sustaining art. |
