Biography
Born in France in 1955, Barbier studied Telecommunications Engineering at the
Politechnique. He then began working in the theatre as set-designer, lighting technician,
assistant director, director and dialogue adapter. He worked as general manager and
director of lighting for Didier Flamand, the director of Ecce Homo and Prends
bien garde aux Zeppelins.
He later worked in the cinema as electrician, gaffer, technician, director's assistant,
production assistant, accountant, director of production in numerous short films,
(including Chocolat Delice and La Meute by Jean-Paul Dekiss), advertisements
and feature films. He founded the production company Mediapolis. From 1986 to 1988
he worked as director of production for Sogitec, a company producing synthetic
images, and directed the production of numerous advertisements and company promotions. |
