Biography
Antonio Arcidiacono graduated in electronic engineering from Pisa
University before entering Selenia Spazio in the Department of Advanced Studies of the
Spatial Systems division as a communications systems engineer. He then became a consultant
to Telespazio. From 1988 to 1990 he worked in the headquarters of the European Space
Agency (ESA) in the telecommunications programme co-ordination office and since April 1990
he has worked with the European telecommunications satellites organisation EUTELSAT as
strategic planner in the Director General's office, with responsibility for the
development of systems and advanced satellite services.
In January 1993, he was appointed head of the new services development
unit in the commercial department of EUTELSAT. Since January 1996, he has been head of
multimedia services and new products, with responsibility for the development of digital
television services and multimedia. |
